Cincinnati, Ohio | 2008 ‑ present
As art director I am responsible for providing design direction as well as the oversight of art production on all branding, print, interactive, web, and video projects for our global client roster. I work closely with the creative director, working through project objectives, concepting, and directing a group of designers on various projects. In addition to these duties I manage client brand guidelines, freelance designers, production schedules, and relationships with vendors.
As an art director I have developed relationships with local, regional, and national printing and trade show vendors. I work closely with several area photographers, directing a number of photo shoots for various clients and work with local, regional, and national post-production houses, videographers, and directors of photography on video/commercial shoots.
My track record as art director includes over 15 design awards from various industry creative competitions for print collateral, video, and web and e-mail campaigns. A brief client list includes: United Way of Greater Cincinnati, Proctor & Gamble, FirstGroup America, Inc., PNC Equipment Financing, Teradata, Teradata PARTNERS User Group, ROTEX, and Jewel-Craft, Inc.
Senior Designer, Contracted Freelancer | Stimulus Worldwide

Graphic Designer | WenMar Design Labs
Toledo / Dayton, Ohio | 2001 ‑ 2008
Freelancing provided me experience running a small business and managing client relations. I utilized my design skills to sketch and concept for clients, bring design ideas into production stages on the computer, and learned the importance of working closely with photography and printing vendors to achieve the best results.
I worked directly with clients, or with their marketing departments, to fulfill their design needs for identity design, marketing collateral, signage, direct mail campaigns, and package design. A brief client list included: Enhanced Publications, Grand Financial, Inc., Buckeye & Ohio Media, Hartzell Propeller, Industrial Tube Corporation, DEM Technology, Ohio Relay for Life/American Cancer Association, Stimulus Worldwide, and The DAISY Foundation.
Graphic Designer | Hardy Communications & Marketing
Toledo, Ohio | 2000 ‑ 2001
As graphic designer and production artist, I worked closely with the owner of the firm and clients on a variety of different types of projects, including: marketing collateral, political campaign collateral, as well as identity and package design. Clients included commercial real estate developers, metal brokers, and technology/IT solutions providers.
Graphic Specialist | Adroit Systems, Inc.
Dayton, Ohio | 1999 – 2000
As an intern with this defense contractor, I was responsible for facilitating team members with their graphic related needs for various projects. I was responsible for printed collateral for specific projects, multi-media presentations, and assisted in the layout and formatting of technical reports and job proposals. Due to the sensitive nature of the material handled by this employer, and the projects I worked on, I had to obtain my DOD secret security clearance.
